Wellbeing

Belonging, Being, Becoming

Children have the right to experience quality education and care in an environment that safeguards and promotes their health, safety and wellbeing. When children feel safe, secure and supported they grow in confidence to explore and learn.

Without a strong sense of wellbeing it is difficult to have a sense of belonging, to trust others and feel confident in being, and to optimistically engage in experiences that contribute to becoming. Children’s wellbeing can be affected by all their experiences within and outside of their early childhood settings.

One of the ways we promote health and wellbeing using a whole-service approach is by working with the ‘Victorian Government- Healthy Early Childhood Achievement program’, embedding the achievement program into our daily practices.
